Ed Sheeran Pens Track For The Shires – Laura Klonowski

Ever since British country music duo The Shires announced that their highly anticipated third studio album ‘Accidentally On Purpose’ would be released on April 20th we have all been eagerly awaiting some new songs from the pair.
And while the wait for the album’s first official single goes on, we do have some exciting news about one of the LP’s tracks. As Ben Earle and Crissie Rhodes have confirmed that pop/folk superstar Ed Sheeran has penned a song for their new record.
The Shires confirmed the exciting news to The Sun Newspaper during an exclusive interview and announced that the song is titled ‘Stay The Night’. The birth of the track came about after the record breaking UK country duo partied with Sheeran in Nashville.
Speaking to the newspaper about that night, Ben said: ““He [Ed Sheeran] told us he was familiar with our music and we were like, ‘Woah, that’s incredible. Afterwards we said it would be great if we could work together in the future, and a few days later he sent us his track Stay The Night.”
 It is unknown as to whether this particular song will be the new single they are due to release very soon. But the music video for their new release was filmed in Los Angeles earlier this year and fans can expect to hear the track on radio very soon.
