Lindsay Ell Wraps Up 2020 With Chart Success For “wAnt me back”

2020 has already been a landmark year for the wonderful Lindsay Ell, who of course released her highly anticipated sophomore album ” Heart Theory” to critical acclaim this August, the album debuting inside the Top 10 of Billboard’s Top Country Albums and Top 5 on the UK Country Album Chart. And this week there is more fantastic news for this insanely talented artist as she has just landed the #1spot at country radio in her native Canada with her hit single “wAnt me back”, the most recent track to be taken from the album which as I’m sure you know is a journey through each stage of grief and which stemmed from her experiencing a monumental relationship break up. The song was co-written by Lindsay, Kane Brown, Matt McGinn & Lindsay Rimes and was #1 most added at US Country radio upon its debut week, and its wonderful accompanying video oozes the self confidence the song is all about while incorporating more than just a touch of Hollywood glamour.

wAnt me back

I am beyond thrilled to celebrate my second #1 in Canada,” said Ell of the news. “I have written so much of my heart and soul into my latest album, and to release music in a year like 2020 has been quite the rollercoaster. But to top this year off with a celebration like this is truly incredible! This is the best early Christmas present ever.”
“wAnt me back” marks Lindsay’s second #1 at Canadian country radio, following up the breakout hit “Criminal” from her debut album The Project, which landed that coveted spot in 2018. Last year, Ell also scored her first #1 at country radio in the U.S. with her duet alongside Brantley Gilbert for “What Happens in a Small Town.”

With over 83+ Million streams on her catalogue and a monumental 2020 behind her, 2021 has a lot in store for Lindsay Ell. Let’s hope it won’t be too long before she is able to return to the UK to showcase her incredible talent .
