Kiera Gabrielle Releases New Single “The Last Song”

Last Friday saw Oxfordshire singer/songwriter Kiera Gabrielle release her latest single “The Last Song“.

It’s the fourth in what the independent artist describes as a series of “boys who did me wrong songs” and like all her writing is based on real life experiences. In contrast to Kiera’s last uptempo, vitriolic release “Scorpio Guy“,  this time around she has come up with a moody, pensive ballad, demonstrating her versatility in every respect. Kiera’s haunting vocals soar over the accompaniment, which starts with simple piano chords before building beautifully (and includes her brother Nathan Green on drums) as the song progresses.  It’s addressed to her ex and tells of her journey since they split, from initially being unable to even sleep in the bed they once shared and wanting him back in her life to finally realising that he’s not worthy of a second chance …and definitely doesn’t warrant being inspiration behind any more songs… hence the title. To quote Kiera, “I realised that there are so many other people who are more worthy to be the inspiration and centre of my art“.
She continues “Self produced, mixed and mastered, I really did put my blood, sweat and tears (a lot of tears) into this song“.Stream “The Last Song” here https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/kieragabrielle/the-last-song-2
