During their divorce proceedings, Haart gained control over Freedom Holding, the enterprise they operated together while married. Additionally, she secured their $65 million apartment and nearly $10 million in cash, as reported by Page Six.
Moreover, her ongoing fraud lawsuit against him, where she claims he deceived her into believing she had been granted half of the company for her role as CEO, is set to continue in court.
At a Prevent Cancer Foundation event held at Docks Off Fifth, the 53-year-old star of “My Unorthodox Life” expressed to Page Six, “He has to pay for what he did to me.”
Maintaining Balance and Looking Forward
Haart shared her current feelings about her legal victories, saying, “Keeping Zen and feeling so much gratitude. Sometimes I wake up in the morning feeling like I am going to burst out of my actual body,” she revealed.
Still, the legal battles are far from over.
“Every day, I remind myself that I have a purpose and I keep moving forward until I win the entire company and additional damages,” she disclosed.
The Ongoing Legal Saga
The former pair, who previously managed the Elite World Models agency and the luxury lingerie brand La Perla together, have faced numerous intricate and bitter court disputes. These began after she announced her intention to divorce him in 2022, which led to his attempt to terminate her employment.
Should she prevail in her fraud lawsuit, Haart could potentially become a billionaire.
She is demanding $250 million each from Scaglia, his business associate Paolo Barbieri, Scaglia’s accountant Jeffrey Feinman, and Feinman’s company, the accounting giant DDK and Company.
Previously, Scaglia criticized the court’s decision to grant Haart control of Freedom Holding, stating, “It’s a total joke! Freedom and its subsidiaries were acquired by me in 2011, long before I met [Haart], who was residing in Monsey, NY at the time.”
He further dismissed her by saying, “She was nothing then, she is nothing now, and will be nothing in the future,” he remarked.
