The Disappearance of Shaq’s Luxury SUV
The vehicle, a brand-new Range Rover, was in the process of undergoing customizations by Effortless Motors that would have potentially raised its worth to approximately $300,000. The SUV was being transported from Atlanta to Louisiana when it disappeared.
Effortless Motors reported that the vehicle was picked up this past Monday but never reached its intended destination. Upon inquiring about the vehicle’s whereabouts, the company was shocked to discover that it had mysteriously disappeared en route.
It is suspected that thieves might have infiltrated the transportation company’s digital systems to gain key details about the vehicle’s transit schedule, enabling them to intercept and misappropriate Shaq’s expensive SUV.
In response to the incident, Effortless Motors has announced a $10,000 reward for information leading to the recovery of the stolen vehicle.
Rising Trend in High-End Vehicle Thefts
This incident appears to be part of a broader trend involving high-end vehicles. For instance, a report from a Miami news outlet in May highlighted the theft of a $300,000 Rolls Royce. The vehicle had been shipped from South Florida to Detroit, and authorities believe thieves altered the delivery details to hijack the shipment.
The famous NBA commentator is actively collaborating with law enforcement to track down his custom, jet black Range Rover.
Shaq’s Expansive Car Collection
Shaq is well-known for his passion for cars, boasting a collection estimated to be worth around $4 million. His impressive assortment includes a Ferrari 355 F1 Spider, a Bentley Azure, a Lamborghini Gallardo, and a 2018 Vaydor, with many vehicles customized to fit his large frame.
The basketball icon has humorously mentioned owning 40 cars, remarking, “I don’t know why.”
Following the recent incident, however, it seems his collection might be down to 39.
As of now, law enforcement has yet to provide further details on the investigation.
