In a rare interview, Michael Polansky, Lady Gaga’s fiancé, reveals what it’s like to be in a relationship with a global superstar.

“The biggest challenge has been accepting the lack of privacy compared to other people,” the venture capitalist shared with Elle in an interview for Gaga’s February 2025 feature, which was released on Tuesday.

“Stefani’s ease and patience with the situation have been incredible,” he continued, referring to Lady Gaga by her birth name, Stefani Germanotta.

Seeking Normalcy Amid Fame

The 41-year-old entrepreneur noted that their relationship is “probably similar to most people’s,” except that they “have to navigate some of it in the public eye.”

He went on to explain that they strive to find normalcy by “keeping strong friendships and close family ties” and frequently hosting gatherings at their home in Malibu, California.

Gaga, aged 38, added their personal touch, “We cook pasta together; we like to roast things. We enjoy making simple meals with Michael’s mother, who also lives close by.”

“She and I have developed a close bond by sharing our life stories,” the singer of “Disease” elaborated. “It revolves around our upbringing, being women in the workforce, her experiences versus mine, and observing the changes across different generations.”

The couple, who first met at a charity event in 2019 and became engaged last year, have been public about their relationship and future plans.

In her interview, the star of “Joker: Folie à Deux” expressed her desire to start a family soon with Polansky, a graduate of Harvard University.

The Importance of Family

“Family is like the tree’s roots. They can be sprawling, twisted, sometimes waterlogged, or parched,” Gaga reflected.

“It shapes who you are and also influences your need for change,” she added about the significance of family.

Prior to her engagement with Polansky, Gaga was engaged to Taylor Kinney, star of “Chicago Fire,” from 2015 to 2016, and to talent agent Christian Carino from 2017 to 2019.
